Issues involving insurance, insurance coverage, and the obligations and duties of insurers based on claims made or being litigated arise across the firm’s practice areas.  Members of the firm have litigated insurance questions extensively, from demanding coverage for clients in specific matters to prosecuting claims of bad faith against insurers when they have not acted appropriately under the underlying insuring contract or in the handling of the investigation of covered claims.  The firm has experience with these matters in commercial cases, construction cases, negligence cases, real estate cases (involving the obligations of title insurers), and matters involving property damage.
