Patrick C. Riley
Patrick C. Riley is a civil litigator and business attorney serving Bozeman, Gallatin County, and all of Montana. He specializes in insurance defense, personal injury, and commercial litigation, along with real estate, banking, and business transactions.
In his litigation practice, Patrick represents both plaintiffs and defendants through pleading, discovery, motions, trial, judgment, and appeal in Montana’s state and federal district courts, the Montana Supreme Court, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. He has advocated for his clients as first or second chair in several civil jury trials, and successfully resolved dozens of cases through mediated or negotiated settlement. His litigation experience includes: complex commercial; business; insurance defense; insurance bad faith; insurance coverage; personal injury; auto accidents; trucking accidents; motorcycle accidents; slip and fall; wrongful death; malpractice; property damage; property rights; easements; construction defects; construction contracts; liquor liability; and breach of contract.

A Bozeman native and Bozeman Senior High School graduate, Patrick has been in Bozeman raising a
family and practicing law since 2011. Outside of work, he can be found in the gym lifting weights,
noodling on guitar, reading a book, cooking a new recipe, or enjoying Montana’s beautiful outdoors
with his wife Sarah, and their two young children.
